Family is a store that predominately sells books. It was set up by 3 Australian friends who moved over to l.a to start there own shop selling exactly what they wanted from design and artist books and zines to cassette tapes of local, national and international bands. The store has grown into a hive for readings, art fairs, in-store music shows, and any other ad hoc use its proprietors think of. Along with Ooga Booga and the smell it has become and is the centre of L.As art and music scene.
