Competition

For this i have looked at several possible competitions if the bookstore becomes a reality. I have looked at local businesses such as the at market who sell independent artist books and zines. This would be our main competition for the independent zine and book purchasers. The other stores i have looked at are chain store who do only pose a threat in the major publications market but they wouldn't have such a wide and varied selection of specialist design books and artist books as we intend to. The major competition and similar store to our store plans would be magma in manchester but as it is over 30 miles away. I feel that this is a viable business idea that has the chance of becoming a successful independent specialist bookstore.
